Hey, everyone....We need HELP to do voter ID for a COORDINATED CAMPAIGN PHONE BANK for Sara, Mario, Linda, Ted, Sam, and Jason. We'll call newly registered Democrat voters and Dems who voted in 2004 but not 2002. Sunday through Thursday until October 8, from 6-8:30 pm at HQ. We just have a week and a day to do this, and WE COULD USE YOUR HELP. If you can join us, please call the office, 752-4848, or email Betty Malone with which days you are available. Let's make a difference.
Gov. Kulongoski's campaign is collecting people's words of support for their website. How about some face-to-face persuasion from BCDems. Check it out on www.tedforgov.com/2006/08/oregonians_tell.html. If you're interested, email your endorsement, with a photo if you'd like, to Will Howell and tell him that you're from Benton County.

It's time. Let's hit the streets for our favorite candidates--------------
Rep. SARA GELSER needs help in Philomath. If you live in Philomath, or just love hanging out thre, Sara welcomes you to canvass and find good lawn sign locations. Please email Sara or phone her at 760-2115.
Need a GELSER lawn sign? They're going up this week. If you would like one and haven't had it placed in your yard by Oct. 5, you can pick one up at BCDem HQ. If you'd rather have one delivered or have any problems, call 760-2115.
Door-to-door and phone CANVASS for PAUL EVANS' campaign, 3:00 on Sunday, October 8. Meet at Evans HQ, 1194 Center St. NE, Salem.
Canvass with JASON BROWN in Harrisburg (Linn County), Sunday, October 8, 12:30 pm. We'll be distributing lit and invitations to a meet-&-greet event there on October 18. We'll need help to cover the town. Please contact Lisanne Pearcy if you can join us.
GIANT GELSER CANVASS will take place on Sunday, October 22, 1-4:00 pm. This is an important part of the effort to ensure that Sara goes back to Salem in January. Meet at the BCDems HQ at 1 pm, and please bring a friend (or five). So that we can have an idea of how many are walking, email Sara or give her a call at 760-2115. If you can't come, you can still send a friend.
Set aside October 22, Sunday, to join the WORLD RECORD CANVASS in PAUL EVANS' campaign.
Canvassing EVERY SATURDAY for DIANA SIMPSON from 9:30-1:00 pm. We need help to make sure that voters "FILL IN THE BUBBLE" next to Diana's name on the ballot. Contact Clinton Downs.
JASON BROWN'S campaign is looking for a good location for a large (3/6') sign on (1) Hwy 99W in south Corvallis and (2) Hwy 34 just west of Philomath. Is there a friendly Dem with some highway frontage? Also, we need someone to distribute Jason's lawn signs in Benton Co. and to help install large signs. Finally, Jason needs some willing phone bankers for the Wren event, the weekend of Oct. 14 and the week of Oct. 16. If you can help with any of these, please contact Lisanne Pearcy or 503-606-4323.

5. SUCCESSES
Max Cleland's visit on behalf of PAUL EVANS' campaign for change was "more than I could have asked for," says Paul. Magical moments that "everyone involved will remember for years to come." Thanks, Max.
JASON BROWN has been hosting community events far and wide throughout District 23 to meet voters. Some say that they can't remember the last time a state candidate visited their towns. Good work, Jason and team. For details of planned events, check Jason's calendar.
6. THANKS...
to PAULINE REYNOLDS for preparing our new Publicity Notebook for BCDems volunteer publicity/public relations people--and to DAVI RICHARDS, Communications Committee chair, for mentoring her brood so capably.
and, of course, to LEAH BOLGER, whose courage in the streets of Washington, D.C., made the point for many of us that the Iraq war has become unbearable.
