Treasurer's Update - "Back on Track"

As I reported in last night's central committee meeting, financially the BC Dems are back on track with our 2005 plan. We are ahead on fund raising year to date and expect to be close by year end given our reduced fund raising plan for 2005. We exceeded the plan for expenses year to date largely due to a valuable new program - constituions for high school students. In summary, we expect to end the year the same amount of cash as we started.

The major cause of our being comfortable was the busy fund raising month of September. The Roast and Toast was a great success, enjoyed by all who attended and raising good money. Thanks go to Sara Gelser and her fund raising committee. The same weekend, we had our food booth with Nearly Normals at the Fall Festival and raised more than we did last year. Thanks go to LaVon Guneyli, William Switzer and the 30 BC Dems volunteers that made this happen.
